MONROE, Mich. – A 19-year-old Monroe County man faces charges after a police chase Tuesday ended in a crash and killed a 59-year-old Monroe woman.
Austin Lee Hall-Sheedy is charged with fleeing and eluding police causing death. He also faces an unarmed robbery charge for an unrelated incident.
Hall-Sheedy is accused of leading Monroe police on a chase before crashing into an innocent woman's sports utility vehicle. The woman, Diana Cupp, was killed in the crash. Police say she died instantly.

Hall-Sheedy's bond has been set at $1 million. He is being held at the Monroe County Jail.
