Man killed crossing Miller Road in Dearborn

Family says victim is 37-year-old deaf, mute man who likely was on way to store

DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn police are investigating a deadly pedestrian accident Thursday night on Miller Road between Ford Road and Michigan Avenue.

A 37-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road.

Family members told Local 4 the man was deaf and mute. They think he was walking to a store but he usually does not take that way.

A neighbor said the victim was one of the nicest guys a person could ever meet.

Police are calling this an accident. The driver of the vehicle stopped and was there when police arrived.
