Police receive call about suspicious vehicle parked by school; arrest man for indecent exposure

NORTHVILLE, Mich. – Friday morning Northville police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area where parents were dropping off their children at a private school.

A concerned parent called police to report a gray Chevrolet Avalanche driven by a white man, around 50 years of age with gray hair and possibly a gray beard, parked in front of the school on Orchard near Main Street.

The parent says when they made eye contact with the man, he left the area.

A few hours later, police arrested a white man in a blue Chevrolet Avalanche for indecent exposure in the area of 6 Mile and Haggerty.

Police say it is still unknown if the man they arrested is the same person seen sitting in front of the school earlier.

However, school officials are reminding parents and children to report any suspicious activity they see even if it is seemingly minor.
