Novi to add bicycle parking

NOVI, Mich. – The city of Novi is becoming more bicycle friendly.

The city council has approved a compromise ordinance requiring new construction to provide bicycle parking facilities.

For example, an office building with 400 parking spaces for cars, would also have to provide 20 bicycle parking spots, with five of them covered.

Waivers of the ordinance will be allowed for some cases.
