University of Michigan issues crime alert over recent reports of sexual assaults

3 assaults reported, all happened off-campus

ANN ARBOR – The University of Michigan has issued a crime alert after three students have reported being sexually assaulted.

Campus police said all of the incidents happened off campus on East University Avenue in Ann Arbor.

Two of the victims told police they were given alcohol, passed out, and woke up as they were being assaulted.

The most recent incident was reported Wednesday, when a student told police she was grabbed inappropriately by the suspect.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, 5'6" – 5'7", 140 pounds, short black hair, and brown eyes. He is reported as being 31-years-old, but looks younger.

Police say the suspect is also a student.
