Dearborn Police looking for hit and run driver

Man seriously hurt after getting out of his disabled car, driver took off

DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn Police are asking for help in finding the driver responsible for hitting a 38-year-old man Wednesday night on Ford Road near Auto Club Drive.

The man got out of his car after it broke down and was in the roadway when he was hit.

He was taken to Oakwood Hospital where he is being treated for serious, but non life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released by Dearborn police.

Police are looking for a white sedan with possible accident damage.

Chief Ronald Haddad said, "This is a terrible incident and I am confident the Dearborn Police Department together with the community's assistance will be able to locate the driver of the hit and run vehicle."
