Kendrick Lamar to play live at Chene Park

Hip-hop artist to tour in Detroit this June

DETROIT – Kendrick Lamar, Hip-Hop artist from Compton, Calif., will be performing live at Chene Park on June 5, along with special guests Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock on his good kid, m.A.A.d city Tour.

Lamar, who caught the attention of record label Top Dawg entertainment in 2003 for his first mixtape, and released his album good kid, m.A.A.d city on Interscope records in October 2012, has been heavily influenced by '90s hip-hop artists such as Tupac, the Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, and Eminem. He has also worked closely with musical artists Game and Tech N9ne.
