Tickets sell out quickly for John Williams, Spielberg concert at Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Tickets for Williams and Spielberg concert went on sale Monday morning

DETROIT – Tickets for the John Williams and Steven Spielberg benefit concert at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra sold out in just 15 minutes Monday morning.

People began camping out Sunday night to get tickets for the one-night-only gala benefit.

Campers were provided with free pizza and doughnuts from the DSO as they wait in line to get their tickets.

The first 50 people in line will be entered to win two free gala tickets to the event worth $2,000. 

The concert will feature music from some of John Williams' most popular movies.

Steven Spielberg will host the second half of the night with selections of film clips from their past collaborations. 

John Williams is an Oscar-winning composer known for his scores of films such as Jaws, Superman, and the Star Wars saga.

Steven Spielberg is known as one of the most successful directors in history.

Spielberg has directed movies such as E.T., Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, and Saving Private Ryan.

The event will take place on Saturday June 14th.

Tickets ranged from $30-$250 and were available at the DSO.org or by calling the box office.
