DETROIT – A Wayne Memorial High School teacher has been arrested and charged in connection with crimes against children and a computer crime.
Brandon Lee Tomblin, 26, of Canton Township, is charged with child sexually abusive activity, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and two counts of distributing sexually explicit material to children.

He teaches choir at the high school.
On Wednesday, a mother reported Tomblin to police for inappropriate behavior toward her 16-year-old son.
He was arrested Thursday. After an investigation, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office charged Tomblin.
"This is a very disheartening, horrific allegation toward one of our teachers, a teacher who was well-liked and respected," said Wayne-Westland Schools Superintendent Dr. Greg Baracy. "It has literally broken the hearts of not only the staff but also the students."
Tomblin has worked at Wayne Memorial for the past year and a half.
"Our message to parents and students is that if they have any evidence of inappropriate behavior that they report it to Canton police," said Baracy.
Tomblin is expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
