Demarius Reed was shot and killed in his off-campus apartment last week. Investigators believe he was the victim of a robbery.

On Tuesday evening, during a community meeting to discuss crime on and near the Ypsilanti campus, police said people are ignoring what's happening around them.
"No less than six people heard what they described as gunshots and no one called police," said Ypsilanti Interim Police Chief Tony DeGuisti. "We also learned that there was a large, loud party in the parking lot. Again, no one called police."
Reed's teammates will be attending his funeral on Saturday in his hometown near Chicago.
His killer remains on the loose.
