Detroit eclipse weather forecast: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy Monday

Highs in the upper-80s

DETROIT – Eclipse day, Monday, will be touch and go.

The solar eclipse starts just after 1 p.m. ET Monday, and peaks between 2:20 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET.

Remember your special eclipse glasses with the "ISO" label! It will be steamy and unstable with increased humidity.

So, skies will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy and hot with highs in the upper 80s. Showers are possible after 4 p.m. ET.

Very warm with showers and storms, Tuesday. Highs in the mid 80s.

After a cold front passes, it will not be as warm. Wednesday and Thursday will be sunnier with highs in the middle and upper 70s.
