Motorcyclist injured in crash with Detroit police car

Detroit police car involved in crash with motorcycle at Morang Drive, Lansdowne Street

DETROIT - A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday morning in a crash with a Detroit police car at Morang Drive and Lansdowne Street on the city's east side.

No officers were injured. Only the cyclist was taken by EMS to a hospital. He is in temporary serious condition.

Police say he hit the police car.

A sport utility vehicle also was involved in this crash. The driver of that vehicle also was not injured.

The officer was on the way to assist other officers at an address on Balfour Street.
