New Baltimore police say Poncho's Mexican Restaurant was intentionally set on fire

Popular restaurant burned Sunday morning; firefighters could not save building from serious damage

The New Baltimore Police Department says Sunday's fire at Poncho's Mexican Restaurant was intentional.

The popular Mexican restaurant on Green Street went up in flames early Sunday morning. New Baltimore firefighters were able to put the blaze out quickly but not before serious damage was done to the building.

The Michigan State Police Investigations Division will join New Baltimore Police and Fire Officials in this arson investigation.

Police say they are working some leads based on evidence found at the fire scene.
