Official cause of death for autistic boy whose body was found at Flint-area lake is drowning

DETROIT - The official cause of death for a 9-year-old boy who was found dead in a Flint-area lake should is drowning.

Omarion Humphrey, who was severely autistic, had been with a foster family July 4 at a park in Davison Township. He apparently wandered away and his body was found days later in Lake Callis.

No one has been charged in his death.

Humphrey's mother had him and her 10 other children taken away from her in February.

According to the petition from Child Protective Services, Omarion and his siblings were found living in a filthy, feces-filled home with no beds, clothes or food. Their mother and father were living in an apartment in downtown Pontiac. There was no adult supervision in the home where the children were.
