Arson investigation underway after house firebombed on Detroit's west side

DETROIT – Arson investigators from the Detroit Fire Department were on the scene of a deadly fire Thursday morning on the city's west side.

The fire started at about 1:30 a.m. in the 14200 block of Cruse Street.

A 29-year-old woman told police she was in the house when a vehicle pulled up and someone threw something at the house causing the fire.

Firefighters pulled a 23-year-old man from the home. He died on the way to the hospital.
