Emergency crews were called to Beaumont Hospital's Royal Oak campus around 9:30 a.m. Friday due to a partial building collapse.
When emergency crew arrived they found part of the Neuroscience Center, which was under construction, had collapsed.
There were no injuries related to the incident.
The building site has been shut down. Structural engineers will be brought in to assess the cause.
