Police: 18-year-old woman in critical condition after boyfriend shot her during argument

DETROIT – An 18-year-old woman is in critical condition Thursday after her boyfriend allegedly shot her during a physical altercation on Detroit’s east side.

The shooting happened at about 4 a.m. in the 5000 block of East Outer Drive.

According to police, the victim was armed with a knife and struck her boyfriend in the face with a set of keys prompting the shooting.

The woman was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
