Police: 6-year-old boy shot at home on Detroit's west side

DETROIT – A 6-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital after he was shot at a home on Rosemont Avenue, on Detroit’s west side, police said Sunday night.

Officers said the child was in the home, located near the Southfield Freeway, with a man and a woman when another woman visited.

Police believe that woman’s ex-husband then showed up and opened fire into the home, hitting the 6-year-old.

The child is listed as stable.

The shooter remains on the loose, police said.
