DETROIT - Warren police said a 52-year-old man is facing charges on accusations he hit his girlfriend because he was upset over a Detroit Lions game.
Michael Ottman was charged with domestic violence after police said he got so upset at the Lions' poor performance during the Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers that he struck his girlfriend in the face. She required medical attention but is going to be OK, police said.
Ottman was being held in the Macomb County Jail on a 5,000 bond. Police said he has a criminal record that includes drunken driving and drug possession convictions.
