Police on lookout for man taking video of kids in Bloomfield Township

Man spotted taking cellphone video of young girl

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Police in Bloomfield Township are on the lookout for a man who, police say, was spotted taking cellphone video of a young girl about 4 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Overhill Road.

The man is described as tall, white, bald with a dark beard or goatee, and between 40 and 50 years old. He was driving a white van or sport utility vehicle.

Police say he never approached or spoke to the girl.

Students were first to report the man who they said allegedly was taking videos of them near Lahser and Telegraph roads. They gave police the description of the man. They said he might have been holding a video camera.

Troy and Birmingham police departments are monitoring their own schools and neighborhoods along with the Bloomfield Township Police Department.

The school district has alert parents about a suspicious incident.
