Police pursue stolen Corvette on I-96 after home invasion in Northville Twp.

Suspects still at large

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are searching for a pair of home invaders who fired shots at residents Sunday morning in Northville Township.

A 911 call was made about a home invasion in progress at 5:15 a.m. in the 42000 block of 5 Mile Road.

According to police, two men forced their way into the home and confronted the residents with guns.

One of the residents was physically assaulted and shots were fire by the suspects during the incident.

Jewelry and a handgun were taken from the home and the men fled the home stealing the resident’s 2015 Chevrolet Corvette and 2016 black Lexus RX350 SUV.

The Corvette was located on eastbound I-96 but the pursuit was terminated after police lost sight of the vehicle. The Corvette was later recovered in Detroit.

Both men were described as black, armed and wearing masks. One of the men had a muscular build, about 6 feet tall and was armed with a rifle. The other man was armed with a handgun.

The 2016 black Lexus RX350 SUV with Michigan license plate BGG378.
