Police seek man exposing himself to young girls in Detroit

Man reportedly exposing himself to young girls along Detroit school routes

DETROIT – Detroit Public Schools police have released a sketch of a man who, they say, is wanted in connection to multiple indecent exposure reports.

"I'm going to keep an eye on them," said one mom. "They (the girls) usually run around by themselves. She can't be running around by herself anymore. I have to be with her."

Police say the man has approached young girls while they are walking to school. He has parked his green truck at corners on school routes and waited for girls to cross the street. While the girl waits for traffic to clear before crossing the street, the man draws her attention and exposes himself.

In some cases, he was completely nude. In others, he had just a shirt on.

"I think it's just really foul," the woman said. "There's a lot of weirdos around here. We've got to keep an eye out for these kids now."

He is described as a black man in his mid 40s with a dark complexion. He is bald and has been seen with and without a full salt-and-pepper beard.

He was driving a 2000s green Dodge Ram pickup truck. The vehicle has been seen with a green cap over the truck bed, but sometimes without the cap. The truck may have "4x4" on the bed.
