New Local 4 poll numbers show where Michigan voters stand on Trump, gubernatorial candidates

Poll results released day before Gov. Rick Snyder's State of the State Address

DETROIT – Local 4 has exclusive new poll numbers on where Michigan stands on President Donald Trump and gubernatorial candidates.

The poll numbers have been released on the eve of Gov. Rick Snyder's final State of the State Address. Snyder is also covered in the poll.

The numbers for Trump in the survey of voters across the state of Michigan aren't great. Snyder fared better than Trump.

There are several candidates for Michigan governor. The poll suggests the average Democratic voter isn't familiar with Gretchen Whitmer, Shri Thanedar and Abdul El-Sayed.

On the Republican side, Attorney General Bill Schuette has name recognition. He's comfortably positioned in his primary, for now.
