Rapper J. Cole dedicates 'Crooked Smile' video to Aiyana Jones

DETROIT – Star rapper J. Cole has released his new music video for his single "Crooked Smile" featuring TLC. The video is dedicated to 7-year-old Aiyana Jones, who was killed on May 16, 2010 during a police raid in Detroit.

The plot shows a story line with striking similarities to the Aiyana Jones case. The video shows J. Cole spending time with his daughter, symbolic of Aiyana Jones. It then shows a police raid ensuing at his home, ending in the shooting death of his daughter. The video closes with the subtitles: "For Aiyana Stanley-Jones. And please reconsider your war on drugs."
