Reward offered for information regarding murder of Redford veteran

REDFORD, Mich – Martin Anderson was killed on Dec. 29, 2012, when he was ambushed by several unknown attackers. 

An argument ensued as Anderson left the Iron Coffins Motorcycle Club at the intersection of Dearborn and Burdeno streets. Shots were fired. Anderson was able to get away from the scene after being shot. He died two weeks later from his injuries.

Martin Anderson attended St. Agatha High School in Redford, where he played on the football team. After high school, he joined the Marines, served 10 years and became a decorated sergeant. Later on Martin would enroll at Wayne State University as a full-time student. 

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was employed as a security officer. The father of two daughters was 29 years old when he died.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest for the murder of Anderson. If the tip that leads to an arrest is received by Friday at midnight, there will be an additional $1,000 reward for a total of $3,500.
