Safe, medications stolen from Temperance grocery store during break-in

Thieves stole a safe and medications from the Food Town Grocery Store in Temperance on Nov. 18, 2017.

TEMPERANCE, Mich. – Thieves who broke into a Temperance grocery store early Saturday stole a safe and medications, authorities said.

Sheriff's deputies went to the Food Town Grocery Store at 8926 Lewis Ave. about 1 a.m. after several alarms were activated at the store.

The grocery and Anson's Pharmacy, which is inside the store, had been broken into.

Authorities said three people were involved in the crime. All three were wearing sweatshirts with hoods and face masks. Video surveillance showed the trio were traveling in a light-colored SUV.
