Southfield police: Gunmen robbed 74-year-old at gunpoint

Police think gunmen may have followed victim home from store

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Southfield police said they're looking for a group of men who are suspected of following a 74-year-old home from the grocery store and robbing him at gunpoint.

Police said the victim had just returned from the store on Nov. 12 when three men approached him in his driveway on Midway Avenue and robbed him of money, jewelry and keys. Police said two of the three men had handguns.

A review of surveillance video from the store showed two of the three men inside it at the same time as the victim, police said. The gunmen then followed the victim in a two-door silver sedan out of the parking lot when he left, police said.

Police have released several pictures from the store surveillance. Anyone who has information on the men seen in them is asked to call Southfield police at 248-796-5500.
