He's charged with open murder, possession of a firearm, possession by a felon and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Victim leaves behind family

Leon Riggs had been married to Nicole for 10 years. He says she was a loving mother.

"I have to explain to my 13-year-old now that his mother is never coming home," he said.

Leon Riggs says his wife was an innocent bystander and she had nothing to do with the fight. He says she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
