Southfield police put out sketch of shooter who opened fire at party

Ellis Ross killed, 3 others hurt when gunfire erupts at Marvin Garden Inn

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Southfield police have released the sketch of a man they say is responsible for opening fire at a party over the weekend, killing 1 person and hurting three others.

Police said the gunfire erupted early Sunday morning at the Marvin Garden Inn on Northwestern Highway.

Ellis Ross Jr., 24, of Sterling Heights, was killed.

Two other women and another man were shot. Police did not have their conditions.

Police are looking for anyone involved in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to called the Southfield police at 248-765-5500.
