SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says a couple in Springfield Township was tied up by two gunmen who broke into their home after finding it on a racing parts website.

The break-in happened at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 10000 block of Clark Road, near Ridgewood Road.

The husband was tied up while the wife was handcuffed to the shower.

Deputies said the wife told them the intruders had handguns and one of them apologized, saying he was a drug addict.

The gunmen told the victims they had found their home on RacingJunk.com. The couple had two vehicles listed on the site.

A wallet, wedding rings and a gold angel head that contained ashes, were all stolen.

The wife eventually broke free and saw the gunmen flee in a tan car.

The couple wasn't seriously hurt.

Deputies didn't release detailed descriptions of the gunmen. One of the men was described as white, in his 40s, wearing blue jeans and a gray pullover sweatshirt. He was wearing a mask.

The other one was also white with a slender face, medium build and stood about 6 feet 2 inches tall.
