ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. - St. Clair Shores police say a man who refused to drop his gun for police Tuesday night had to be shot.

Police said officers responded to a home on Little Mack on the report of a suicidal man.

When the man confronted officers with a gun, and refused to comply with orders to drop it, he was shot once.

He was given medical care from officers before being taken to a hospital, where he is in serious condition.
