STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A home invasion early Sunday morning brought officers to a residence in the 2800 block of Groves Drive in Sterling Heights, where two residents were found shot inside the home.

An investigation by the Sterling Heights Police Department Detective Bureau found three males wearing masks and armed with handguns forcibly entered the home through the front door at about 3:40 a.m.

Two residents of the home were shot during the invasion as the intruders held the home’s occupants at gun-point. There was no immediate information as to how many occupants were in the home.
