Suspect in pig mask robbed Sonic in Troy

TROY, Mich. – An armed suspect wearing a pig mask walked into the kitchen of a Sonic in Troy and robbed the restaurant of an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. 

The Sonic at 124 John R Road was robbed at 8:53 p.m. on Nov. 1, Troy police said. The unknown suspect fired a shot from a handgun, pointed the gun at an employee's head and then the manager's head, and forced the manager to open the restaurant's safe. The manager opened the safe and put money into the suspect's backpack. 

Two customers in the restaurant witnessed the robbery. The suspect was described as approximately 6-feet tall.
