ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A suspect in the July murder of a University of Michigan medical student was arraigned Thursday on a charge of receiving and concealing stolen property.
Shaquille Jones, 21, was arrested in North Charleston, S.C., earlier this month for his alleged connection to Paul DeWolf's murder. He had to be extradited back to Michigan. This charge is not connected to DeWolf's murder. It is for a burglary that happened the day before the medical student was found dead, but on the same street.
Jones is being held on a $500,000 cash bond. He is one of three suspects in this murder, but no one has been formally charged with the killing.
DeWolf, 25, was attending the Ann Arbor school on an Air Force scholarship. He was found slain July 24 at his off-campus apartment after failing to report for work at a hospital.

Police say the suspects do not appear to have any prior affiliation with DeWolf, the University of Michigan or the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his medical training and aspirations, DeWolf was an Air Force 2nd lieutenant.
Jones is scheduled to be back in court Dec. 2.
