'Tracing Skylines' turns Detroit into urban ski slopes

Group skis in abandoned areas around city

DETROIT – Detroit's enormous amount of blight has inspired "creatives" from around the world, from music videos to movies. But this group has taken the word "creative" to the next level.

"Tracing Skylines," a movie made by Poor Boyz Productions and Red Bull Media House, shows skiers taking on rough terrain in Canada, France and of course, Detroit. The group is seen skiing in an abandoned church, factory (what looks to be the Packard Plant) and schools in and around Detroit. Check out the video below.
