Troy resident killed in motorcycle crash in Maryland

Police say the crash was due to pedestrian error

BALTIMORE – A 20-year-old Troy resident died early Sunday in Baltimore, after colliding with a motorcycle while walking.

Police responded to a call about a crash involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle at the intersection of Fleet Street and Exeter Streets in Baltimore around 12:30 a.m.

The woman hit was taken to a hospital where she was later died.

Police say the victim was identified as 20-year-old Kellie Halushka, a resident of Troy.

The 48-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police said the motorcycle involved in the crash was reported stolen- and criminal charges are pending against the rider

Investigators believe the cause of the crash was pedestrian error.
