Big House stadium at center of fight

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - A big billboard outside the University of Michigan's football stadium is at the center of a big debate in Ann Arbor.

The Ann Arbor city council is planning to formally ask the University of Michigan to shut it down at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Council said the large marquee on the east side of the stadium is too big, too bright, and too distracting for drivers.

The nearly $3 million marquee went up for a few months to promote all spring sporting events at Michigan Stadium and Chrisler Arena.
