Upper Peninsula talking about separating from Michigan

Could Michigan's' top half secedes to become 51st state?

Headline Goes Here

DETROIT - The Upper Peninsula is talking about separating from Michigan.

Many of the folks up there say they are losing control in Lansing and feel Lansing takes a lot more in tax dollars than the U.P. is getting back.

This isn't the first time the U.P. tried to become the 51st state. There was talk of it in the 1970s – and it almost happened – but the Michigan legislature defeated the move by a single vote.

What do you think? Should us Trolls (those who live below the Mackinac Bridge) support the move?
