Macomb County Authorities Looking For Trevaun Cortez Brooks

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. - The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating whether a 28-year-old man is responsible for impregnating an 11-year-old girl.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said on Friday his office was looking for Trevaun Cortez Brooks of Mount Clemens. He has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct in connection with the investigation.

Wickersham said Brooks was in a relationship with the girl's mother and had lived with them. Wickersham said Brooks was supposed to meet with detectives, but never showed up and a search for him immediately began.

Wickersham said Brooks is thought to be driving a 1997 Red Chrysler Town and Country minivan with the license plate number: BTU-1866.

Anyone with information as to Trevaun?s whereabouts is asked to call the Macomb County Sheriff?s Office at 586-469-5151.

Sources close to the investigation told Local 4 the Brooks worked as a contracted janitor at Prevail Academy in Mount Clemens. Brooks does not have a criminal history.

The girl gave birth in July and has since turned 12 years old.

Prevail Academy spokesman Joe DiBenedetto issued the following statement to Local 4:

"This matter is currently under police investigation and we are cooperating with them fully. We are unable to provide any additional information at this time."
