WDIV's Devin Scillian travels to Rome for historic world event

Award-winning Local 4 News anchor Devin Scillian will be live in Rome where Popes John Paul II and John XXIII will be declared saints in a canonization ceremony at St. Peter's Basilica by Pope Francis on Sunday, April 27.

Scillian's special reports will begin Friday on Local 4 News at 11 p.m. His interviews are to include Cardinal Adam Maida, Author and syndicated Catholic talk radio host Teresa Tomeo, among others.

It's the first ever double canonization of two former popes on the same day. Coverage of this unprecedented event will air on Local 4 beginning at 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Vatican City is expecting more than five million people to attend the ceremony and millions more to watch it live streamed.
