WESTLAND, Mich. - Westland police arrested a man described as a habitual offender in the robbery of a Chase Bank branch on Thursday.
Robert Michael Johnson, 48, was arrested shortly after the robbery Thursday afternoon at the bank on Wayne Road near Cowan Road.
Police said Johnson is currently on probation for prior robberies.
Officers said no weapon was involved in the robbery.
In addition to the bank robbery charge, Johnson was charged as a habitual offender.
Investigators took a woman into custody as she sat in parked car which might have been an intended getaway vehicle, but she was not charged.
