WESTLAND, Mich. - A Westland father, who pleaded guilty to the beating death of his infant son, was sentenced in a Wayne County Court on Tuesday.

Judge Edward Ewell ordered Josh Wilson to spend 27 to 60 years in prison for his crime.

Wilson and his girlfriend Kelli Worth-McBride were both charged after 3-month-old Joshua Jr. died in December.

Police say the infant had been severely beaten. He was bruised from head to toe with several broken bones. Investigators say Joshua died from blunt force trauma to his chest.

Wilson had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on April 23.
