Police investigate woman's death at Oak Hill Estates

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Law enforcement in Springfield Township are conducting a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead Tuesday morning at a home on Sleepy Hollow Boulevard.

The mobile home is inside Oak Hill Estates near East Holly Road and Dixie Highway near Holly in northern Oakland County. Investigators said the woman, who is in her 60s, was stabbed to death. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said she was stabbed multiple times.  

Man says son left note about killing grandmother

The Sheriff's Office said they received a call about 5:42 a.m. Tuesday about a woman being stabbed to death. The caller said his son had left a note at his home saying he was going to kill his grandmother. The stabbing happened between midnight and 5:30 a.m. 

A large kitchen knife believed to be the murder weapon was recovered by deputies at the home. 

Police search for 15-year-old boy

Police are searching for 15-year-old Steven Wilkerson, who stands about 5 feet 5 inches and weighs about 150 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with gray stripes. 

UPDATE: 15-year-old suspect in Springfield Township woman's murder found dead

Police said Wilkerson is believed to be driving a black 2006 four-door Pontiac G6 with Michigan license plate BAM 0631. Police said that vehicle belongs to the victim.
