DETROIT – America's Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit was named the second best holiday parade in the country in USA Today's 10Best Reader’s Choice travel award contest.

America's Thanksgiving Parade was the highest ranked Thanksgiving parade on the list.
The contest nominees were selected by a panel of experts, including editors from USA Today, editors from 10Best.com, relevant contributors, and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The public voted for the winner online.
This year's Thanksgiving Parade theme was “Woodward!! Avenue of Dreams!”
"Our goal is to make the parade bigger and better each year for the thousands of families lining Woodward Avenue. The parade is also broadcast in over 190 cities across the country, putting Detroit on a national stage.
