Tip leads police to find stolen Siberian Husky puppy

Police say dog was found at home in Independence Township

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Bloomfield Township police say an anonymous tip led them to a 10-month-old Siberian Husky who was stolen Monday while it was leashed outside a Kroger Store on Telegraph Road.

Police say they found the puppy, whose name is Kodi, at a residence in Independence Township on Tuesday. Kodi wasn't hurt and has been reunited with his family.

Police said they would be releasing more information about the case on Wednesday.

Kodi was left outside while the owner went into the grocery store for about 20 minutes, police said.

When the owner came out, Kodi was missing.

Police said witnesses told the owner a man who looked to be in his 20s and driving a Jeep Wrangler took the dog.
