Celebrities love their pets just like everyone else

DETROIT – Tabloid magazines and gossip sites are full of photos showing stars and their pets.

Some celebrity pets are even internet famous in their own right, but not all are teacup poodles carried around in luxury handbags.

Stars love their pets just like everyone else. Andy Cohen's rescue beagle, Wacha, was named after St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Michael Wacha and got to meet his namesake.

Power couple Kate Upton and Justin Verlander have a boxer named Harley.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend share five pups named Puddy, Pepper, Penny, Pippa and Pooey.

Kerry Washington's dog, Josie, named for Josephine Baker, is a diva in her own right.

We can't forget the cat lovers!

Kate Beckinsale makes being a cat lady look good. She regularly posts videos of her fluffy felines.

Ricky Gervais' cat, Ollie, has her own Twitter account with 40,000 followers. But Macklemore's cat, Cairo, has Ollie beat, with 75,000 followers on Instagram.

Ed Sheeran adores his cats, Dorito and Calippo. They're both ginger cats.

The "it" pet of the moment is feathery, not furry. Jennifer Garner's pet chicken is named Regina, and Garner said Regina loves long walks, kale and dehydrated bugs.

Nicole Ritchie has posted pictures of her chicks and makes coop life look glamorous, but not as glamorous as Kylie Jenner's chicken, Eddie. He's a silkie chicken, which is known for having fluffy feathers and a friendly personality.

Miley Cyrus has plenty of pups, but she also has pet pigs. She even put off touring to be a more present pig parent.

Kirstie Alley has about a dozen pet lemurs and a full-time zookeeper to take care of them.
