Meet Sasha

The snow is piling up and temperatures are taking a nosedive and that's creating a very challenging time for pets outdoors. But you can help!

Shaun Bailey from the Michigan Humane Society is back with us with a call for volunteers. You can help by passing out straw to animals who live outside in the winter. Help is needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3-hour shifts, from 9 am to noon, in Midtown Detroit.

Volunteers helping with the straw program should be at least 18 and able to lift 50 pounds. Please reach out to the volunteer department at mhsvolunteer@michiganhumane.org or call                      (248) 283 - 1000.

Shaun also introduced Sasha who is up for adoption. Sasha is four years old and fully grown. If your interested in adopting Sasha visit www.michiganhumane.org for more information.

Whoever adopts our pet of the week will receive a $75 gift certificate from our partners at Hagopian Cleaning Services to help with the transition to a new home.
