CINCINNATI, Ohio – A U.S. airman and his former military working dog were reunited last week after being separated for three years.
Emra, a 9-year-old Belgian Malinois, was a single-purpose patrol dog while stationed in South Korea. She patrolled the area surrounding the Air Force base to prevent enemy intrusions, and conducted safety sweeps in advance of sensitive visits from top U.S. officials.

Emra served for two years with SSgt. Adam Wylie.
American Humane, a national humane organization; Crown Media Productions, home of the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries; and independent donors helped fund Emra’s journey to the U.S.
Wylie, his wife and his 4-year-old daughter are adopting Emra.
American Humane has reunited 32 military dogs with their handlers.
