Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek teams up with Detroit Dog Rescue to raise money for animal welfare

Mrazek will donate $5 for every save he makes this season

DETROIT – For every save he makes this season, Detroit Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek will donate $5 to Detroit Dog Rescue.

Detroit Dog Rescue's mission is "to create a state-of-the-art, no-kill animal center in Detroit."

The rescue takes in stray and homeless animals in the city, helps with rehabilitation and adoption, and assists residents.

Mrazek visited the rescue last week.

In his career, he has made 3,740 saves. This season, he has made 173 saves so far.
