Metro Detroit is seeing a nice early afternoon break from the thicker clouds, leaving us with wispy high clouds and muggy weather. Highs in the upper 80s feeling more like low 90s so be careful. At 2:27 PM during the partial solar eclipse, get your solar glasses and enjoy partly cloudy conditions. Temps cool a tiny bit after the quick darkness in the area but rebound and scattered showers and storms are likely after 3pm.
More stormy weather coming in overnight into early Tuesday and these could be some decent soakers with thunder and lightning. A cold front will move through in the afternoon and will spark more storm chances late morning through the afternoon. We have a Marginal Risk or very low risk for severe weather but keep an eye to the skies tomorrow as highs only hit the upper 70s to low 80s.
Cooler and brighter by Wednesday into the mid and upper 70s. Metro Detroit will have 50s for lows and 70s for highs Wednesday through Sunday with dry weather throughout.
